Whether you are a professional builder, landscaper, commercial contractor, or DIY enthusiast, we streamline your entire project with an end-to-end service.

What types of timber do you specialise in?

We supply a comprehensive range of hardwoods and softwoods, including structural timber, decking, flooring, and specialised cladding. Our inventory is curated to serve both large-scale commercial construction and bespoke residential projects.

Do you supply wall frames and roof trusses?

Yes. WA Timber Sales specialises in the fabrication and supply of wall frames and roof trusses for residential and commercial projects. Our modern Truss and Frame plant in Wangara allows us to manufacture quality timber solutions to meet your project requirements.

Is your timber sustainably sourced?

Yes. We are committed to environmental responsibility. Most of our products carry PEFC or FSC certification, ensuring they originate from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Do you offer custom timber machining or dressing?

Absolutely. We provide custom machining services to meet specific project dimensions. Whether you require a particular profile for cladding or dressed-all-round (DAR) finishes, our team can prepare the timber to your exact specifications.

How do I choose the right timber species for my project?

Selection depends on the application (indoor vs. outdoor), desired durability class, and aesthetic preference. For example, high-density hardwoods are best for decking, while treated pines are excellent for structural framing. Our experts are available to provide technical advice based on your project requirements.

What is the typical lead time for an order?

For standard stock items, we generally offer a quick turnaround of 2–5 business days. Custom machining or specialised species may require additional time. We recommend contacting us early in your planning phase for a precise timeline.

Do you deliver across Australia?

While we have a strong local presence, we can arrange transport for bulk orders and commercial projects across various regions. Please reach out to our sales team with your site location for a delivery quote and schedule.

Can I visit your yard to inspect the timber before purchasing?

Yes, we encourage trade and commercial clients to visit our facilities. Seeing the grain, color, and quality of the timber in person can help ensure the product perfectly matches your vision.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, customer pickups are welcome from our Wangara and Bunbury facilities. Please contact our team to arrange a suitable pickup time and ensure your order is ready for collection.

How should I store timber on-site to prevent warping?

Timber should be stored off the ground on level bearers and kept under cover in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keeping it protected from direct sunlight and moisture until installation helps maintain its structural integrity and appearance.

Does your timber come with a fire-rating classification?

Many of our hardwood species naturally meet BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) requirements for specific zones. We can provide technical data sheets and BAL ratings for various species to ensure your project complies with local building codes.

What maintenance is required for outdoor timber?

To maximize the lifespan of outdoor timber, we recommend applying a high-quality oil or sealant shortly after installation. Regular cleaning and re-application of finishes (typically every 12–24 months) will protect the wood from UV damage and moisture.
